Handy spider webs
by Irina HoleyFiber
These are fun and easy Halloween “mitts” that you can crochet in no time! Please treat
this not as a strict pattern, but as an initial idea, that is very easy to modify to fit any
color, size or taste.
Used yarn: a little bit of Aunt Lydia's
Classic Crochet (Size 10)
Hook: 1.75 mm
Gauge is not very important – just
change the number of stitches in the
bracelet to fit your wrist, and adjust the
number of rounds in the web.
Bracelet:
Row 1: 55 ch, and then 1 dc in the 4th ch
from the hoock and each ch to the end.
Row 2: starting and ending with 4-5dc,
(1 dc, 1 ch, skipping 1 dc) to the end.
Row 3,4: starting and ending with 4-5dc, (1 ch, 1 dc in each 1-ch space) to the end.
Row 5: 1dc in each dc and ch.
Then make several rows of sc across narrow sides of the bracelet to sew the small snaps.
Spider web:
(the first dc in each round = 3 ch)
Rnd 1: start with (1dc + 1 ch) 8 times in
the ring;
Rnd 2: (1dc + 3 ch) 8 times
Rnd 3: (1 dc + 5 ch) 8 times
Rnd 4: (1 htr + 7 ch) 8 times
Rnd 5: (1 tr + 10 ch) 8 times
Rnd 6: Constantly trying it on, complete
this round connecting the spider web to
the bracelet, and making the loops
around the thumb, pointing finger and
the pinkie (or whatever you choose).
